Vacations
For Memorial Day weekend, JT and I headed to Colorado for a quick visit to see friends and family. Jack actually came back from Venezuela for the weekend, so we were able to see all three parents! We wish we could've had more time to spend with all of them, but were thankful we at least had the weekend. The first night we were all together we enjoyed a fabulous evening out on the patio for dinner.
Colorado is the best this time of year. I believe it was about 70 degrees outside while we were having dinner. 0% humidity :) and a cool breeze. Ah, I love this time of year in the Rockies. Here's a picture from the street back home:
The next morning we got up bright and early for an 8:15AM tee-time. It was my first time to ever play golf! I mean... I've gone to the driving range and know how to actually swing a golf club, but I've never felt confident enough to go out on the course. Marcy was sweet enough to let me take a few holes on her game. I had so much fun!
And this is where JT runs the golf cart into the trees and I document the family pulling it out. Bahaha. Hilarious.
On Saturday afternoon I had the wonderful pleasure of attending my best friend's baby shower! Lindsay is due with her first girl (Bristolyn Sarii Sawyer) on July 29th and I'm so excited for her! As some of you know, I'm expanding my photography portfolio, so this was a great opportunity to get some maternity pics in! Here's a sneak peek, but you can view the entire post on my blog.
I love her and miss her and wish we lived next door to each other :)
Of course, we couldn't go to Colorado without going to a few Rockies baseball games. I have to take a moment and brag on my mother-in-law. After working for the Rockies for 16 years she has now been promoted to Vice President of Sales for the Colorado Rockies!! We're so proud of her and all that she has accomplished. This season she was given a wonderful gift of a 4-top table in the Mountain Ranch Club. This is a restaurant that overlooks the game while a full course meal is served to you. We had the most wonderful time! The views were amazing.
At about the 7th inning, we went down to her fabulous seats that were on the 4th row behind the dugout. It was so great to be in the stadium and see all the Rockies fans. JT has been a lifelong fan and I'm now a diehard as well. We love the Rockies and love seeing them live. (Much better than watching all the games on TV). If you have not made it out to a Rockies game and you live close... you MUST go! It's a great way to spend a weekend. Order a Rockie Dog and sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". We have so many great memories at Rockies games. So glad we won that night!
All in all this was a fabulous weekend! So sad we had to leave. But home was calling us back!
We actually headed back home on Sunday afternoon, which left us Monday to layout by the pool, play pool volleyball (of course!) and eat dinner with all of our friends.
